Today, Q42 opens up a book on online game development, by releasing the source to the (singleplayer) gaming engine used in
We hope that fans of the old 2D-adventure game genre, and especially those who create fangames of their own, will find the engine useful, and encourage them to explore a new way of livening up their fansites.
Out of the box, the downloadable zipfile runs the entire Good Old Adventures world, including memorable parts of the all-time Sierra classics Space Quest, Police Quest and King’s Quest. Tested to work on Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firebird. So come on, grab yourself a copy of this powerful gaming engine and start coding!
