Sam Sam Webexpeditie
The SamSam Web Expedition, a website for children aged 6 to 12, started on March 15th. Q42 built the site’s backoffice (server logic and content management module), Laika did the design and project management.
The Web Expedition site contains the reports of two ‘adventurers’ (Erik and Marieke) visiting a few countries. They post stories about their adventures and reply to children’s questions. The children can also post their own reports and chat in a playful way on the Chat island . This chat was based on the Quek engine with a flash front-end.
The site is used actively by kids from various schools. A number of reports have been placed and schools are competing fiercely in the picture guessing quiz ‘wat de hik’.
The entire site is built with XML and XSL.
